Beverley Town took another step forward to retaining their Humber Premier League title with a crushing win over Goole United.
Town smashed six past the side that ahead of the game gaffer Dave Ricardo had said ‘could have an influence on the title race’.
Two goals in first 5 minutes of the match all but ended the contest with Town adding a further four goals in the second half at a sunny Norwood Recreation Ground.
Victory closes the gap to fifteen points between Beverley Town and the current leaders Reckitts AFC.
Next weekend Beverley Town play Scarborough Athletic, while Reckitts face a tricky trip to the Victoria Pleasure Ground as they face Goole Untied, one of only two sides to beat them this season.
Final Score: Beverley Town 6 Goole United 0
