The exciting programme of children’s events in the East Riding Festival of Words includes a Ninja Alien Pirate Party at the Parkway Cinema in Beverley on Saturday, 19 October at 11am.
Award-winning children’s author Gareth P Jones will sing, play and rap songs inspired by his collection of published books including ‘Ninja Meerkats’, ‘Steampunk Pirates’, and ‘The Dinosaurs are Having a Party’.
This will be a highly interactive and energetic performance and will be suitable for ages four-plus.

On Sunday, 27 October, the Parkway Cinema in Beverley will host The Funny World of James Campbell, a standup comedy show for children over six, their parents, and anyone who likes comedy without the rude words.
James Campbell is a comedian, author and the man who started ‘Comedy 4 Kids’. He has written the hilarious ‘Boyface’ books and has appeared on TV programmes such as ‘Blue Peter’.
