Tesco Community Grants have funded thousands of local community projects across the UK, helping schools, junior sports teams, foodbanks, charities and community groups. Since 2016 almost a hundred local projects voted on in Tesco’s Beverley store have received over £190,000 in grants.
The visitors to Beaver park were Pontefract RUFC, flying high in the Yorkshire One table, and needing just one more victory to secure promotion their spirits were raised further upon arrival when they realised it was Ladies Day at Beverley RUFC.
A charity that is working to tackle cancer, heart disease and dementia received a fundraising boost from the annual ladies’ day at Beverley Rugby Union Club.
The event raised more than £3,000 for the Daisy Appeal with money coming in from lunch for more than 100 guests and an auction of specially-designed daisy team shirts.
Beverley RUFC’s Mini section were back in training under the watchful eye of their coach Roger Spinks as they played ‘tag rugby’ a non contact form of the game.
Beverley RUFC held a ladies day themed event for their final fixture of the season. Around sixty ladies put on their glad rags and headed to Beaver park where they were greeted and given gifts on arrival by players
Beverley RUFC Mini section finally got new shirts after two years fund raising and with help of three sponsors. On Sunday at Beaver Park the Mini Section showed off their impressive new shirts posing for a group photo.
