Dig For Britain Poppy Appeal in Beverley

Beverley Garden Centre held a Dig for Britain themed day to help raise the awareness for the Poppy Appeal. The Garden Centre in Woodmansey had a selection of stalls including one that was being looked after Iris Newbald, an 84 year old Veteran of the Womens Land Army. Ken Marshall a Verteran of the Royal Air Force was there to support the day two.

The Mayor of Beverley and the Mayoress were on hand to talk to members of the public and the Veterans. Soldiers Stefan Perry, Lee Wilson and Ashley Coddington of Royal Logistics Core also were there after which the lads headed off Morrison’s in Beverley to join Helen and Sophie Robinson to sell Poppy’s.
