The Humber Colts tasted defeat for the first time as they went out of the cup on penalties to Royal Charter 101B. The Humber Colts took the lead through Craig Ellis though were pegged back and after extra time the game ended 1 – 1.
In the shoot out the Humber Colts came out second best exiting the ‘Sponsors Cup’ though Chairman Rob Hunter was very optimistic saying ‘We had to taste defeat and it is better that it happened in the cup, we can now focus on the league.’
