Chester RFC are the visitors to Beaver Park this weekend for the final game of 2009 in National League 3 (North). Beverley RUFC lost the corresponding game at Chester early in the season although they felt hard done by that day losing both Junior Tupai to a broken wrist and Goran Jelencic to concussion, very early in the game. Thankfully both have recovered well and have been influential in the Beavers’recent run of form.
At Birkenhead Park last week Beverley RUFC slipped from their pedestal a little and lost by 19 points to 10. They did not play that badly however with a makeshift side containing one or two players playing out of position.
For this Saturday’s match it is hoped that some of the absent first team players will be available for selection again but the squad will not be finalised until after Thusday nights training.
Beverley RUFC will need to be at their top form to overcome a young Chester side that have been one of the early season pacesetters.
Beverley RUFC RUFC v Chester RFC at Beaver Park Kick-off 2.15 p.m. Meet at 1 p.m.
