Beverley is set to be selected to host two top BBC programmes in May 2010 with The Antiques Road Show and Songs of Praise rumoured to be coming to the Beverley Minster.
Nothing has been confirmed though it is highly likely that Beverley’s iconic landmark will indeed be used to stage two of the BBC’s major Sunday programmes.
On the assumption confirmation is given, Songs of Praise and The Antiques Road Show gives Beverley, as a community, a golden opportunity to showcase Beverley Minster to millions of homes right across the nation.
Songs of Praise would mean around 3.5 million people would get to see inside the Beverley Minster during the programme and The Antiques Road Show has an estimated 7 million viewers.

I have loved Beverley Minster for many years, not least because of it’s 68 <a href="http://www.misericords.co.uk/beverleymin.html"misericords dating from 1520 – considered to be amongst the finest examples in Europe. These fabulous carvings show so much about early 16th century English society and its beliefs.
