Hull business woman Jane Nixon has her eyes set on Beverley, Jane during a time when most companies are cutting back is expanding her ‘Something Special’.
This week Something Special relocated form the small Holderness Road store into large unit on Clarence Street reopening as a Celebration Village. The new shop is spilt over two floors, the downstairs is for wedding, prom and occasional wear.
The upstairs you will find a collection of stands of a wide range goods and services like cake makers and venues for hire.
Bespoke Tiara’s a Beverley business specialising in making unique headwear is one of the first to exhibit at the Celebration Village. Jane is hoping more business’s from Beverley will follow suite saying;
“Although we are based in Hull we have plenty of customers who come from York and Beverley. There are some great venues people can hire for a wedding reception in Beverley, The Beverley Arms Hotel, The Tickton Grange and Beverley Racecourse.”
“We are offering companies the opportunity to advertise their services to a targeted audience 7 days a week. Because we have the space we will also be holding mini wedding shows which will expose their business, brand or service to even more people.”
“Vendors will not only floor space in our store they get a full editorial on the Something Special web site. The cost is very competitive too, a stand in the Celebration Village for a full month is parable to just one advert in print media.”
Recent surveys conducted by Jane on her customers show that a large percentage of her business comes through the internet. As part of expansion Something Special are creating a new web site as she begins to draw more customers in from outside East Yorkshire.
