Some retailers in Market Square are less then happy with the ‘parking’ of the developers working in the store where Garden Shed used to be located. Five cars and vans were parked on double yellow lines across the front of other shops displaying ‘planks of wood’ in the windows with the words –
“Working in Saturday Market Please Call if it’s a Problem”
In the one hour there parking attendants walked passed the illegally parked cars and vans and could do nothing as they lack the power. Further down the street tradesman working on the all new Browns Department Store were too parked on double yellow lines and in loading bays.
Parking in Beverley is an ongoing issue and with shoppers and visitors to town expected to pay £2.70 hour it seems a some what unfair that rules are not applied to all vehicles.
