Beverley Leisure Centre is hosting two events to allow local people to run a mile for charity. Organised by Molescroft mum Sylvia Hood, the events aim to raise funds in memory of her son David who sadly died of bone cancer at the age of 18 in June 2007.
The first event takes place at 6 pm on Wednesday 17 March which would have been David’s 21st birthday. Money raised will be shared between the proposed Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Castle Hill Hospital and the charity’s unit at St James’s Hospital in Leeds where Mrs Hood’s son David was treated for bone cancer.
The second event takes place on Sunday 21 March at 1 pm. Money raised will go to Sport Relief.
