Hull College Girls Schools of excellence held a coaching session with a difference at Longcroft School in Beverley last night. Coaches from the Doncaster Rovers Belles, one of England’s most successful ladies football teams in history put the under 14’s and under 16’s through their paces.
Paul Green the assistant manager of Doncaster Rovers Belles said;
“We have built up links with the Hull College Girls School of Excellence, in the last couple of years we three of the ladies who have moved to us have begun to play at the highest level.
“Naomi Chadwick has become a first team regular, Hannah Watts and Becky Walker are also both making good progress. All three of these ladies are signings made from the Hull College Girls School of Excellence.”
Women’s football is set to change in next season, the current Premier League is being replaced with a super league made up of eight clubs. Teams that will be part of this league are Arsenal, Birmingham, Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea, Lincoln and of course Doncaster Rovers Belles.
