Mirchi Indian Fund Raiser

Restaurant in Beverley has joined forces with Molescroft mum Sylvia Hood to host a fundraising evening in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A special 3-course meal will be served in the restaurant from 6pm on Tuesday 27 April.  Diners will be entertained with acoustic music by Peter Caswell and Thomas Hood and there will also be a raffle.  Local people are invited to get together with family and friends and book a table to support this worthwhile cause.

Mrs Hood, a regular customer at the restaurant in Ladygate, Beverley, has organised a number of fundraising activities recently in memory of her son David who sadly died of bone cancer at the age of 18 in 2007.  After telling staff at the restaurant about her fundraising, they decided to help.

Owners of Mirchi, Syed Muthekin and Asad Miah will host the charity evening and will donate half the profits to the Teenage Cancer Trust.  They have personal experience of cancer as close relatives have died from the disease.

This is the first time that Mirchi has hosted a charity evening and it is hoped that it will become an annual event.

Tables can be booked by ringing Mirchi Restaurant on 01482 871537.  The 3-course meal costs £10 for adults and £5 for children.
