Beverley Racecourse today was blessed with some big names past and present from the world of racing. Frankie Dettori was in Beverley for one ride for Mark Johnston on Hacienda in the 4.05, the impressive maiden winner make it two from two.
Kieren Fallon finished third in the 3.30 riding Interakt and then third in the 5.15 on Love in the West much to the delight of local bar owner Dan Hook who had backed Love in the West each way scooping a £4 profit.
Away from the track, racing legend Bob Champion MBE was at Beverley meeting race goers and promoting his charity, The Bob Champion Cancer Trust. Bob Champion MBE over came cancer himself before riding a famous victory at Aintree over a quarter of a century ago on a horse that had recovered from a bad injury.
