Pictures from yesterday evening at the Beverley Leisure Centre, votes for the Beverley & Holderness constituency were counted as the Election finally came to an end. The ballot boxes started to arrive just after 10pm though a long process followed of sorting counting and recounting in order to declare a winner.
Given all the technology in the world these days this process seemed very long and drawn out. With any luck in the future elections may become non paper based which would certainly make getting the results a lot quicker.
