Visitors to Beverley’s Wednesday Market enjoyed the continental life on a beautiful Saturday in the town.
As the temperatures soared and summer finally reared its head, shoppers made the most of the conditions and took time out to relax.
The chairs and tables outside the Queen’s Head, Fusion and Range were packed with people enjoying a beer, glass of wine or just a cup of coffee as they happily watched the world go by.
The Wednesday Market stalls, including fruit and veg sellers, a bookseller and fishmonger, alongside the permanent shops, were perfectly in keeping with the weather and setting, lending the whole area a real ‘piazza’ feel.
Although Saturday Market seems to have grown in recent years, there is a real resurgence at Wednesday Market, thanks to the sympathetic work done in recent years, and it continues to offer a relaxed and alternative experience to the rest of the town.

Paul – this a fantastic piece, highlighting a wonderful area of Beverley that is often overlooked. The pictures look brilliant and it’s a pleasure to read and see Wednesday Market in such glowing terms. Well done mate.
