Beverley Beck Barge Festival 2010

The Beverley Beck Barge Festival was officially opened this morning by Mayor of Beverley Bessie Foot.

The Beverley Beck Barge Festival runs for two days with plenty to do for all the family.  There is a pirate and a teddy bear that need naming too and anyone not on their best behaviour may find themselves in the stocks!

  1. Despite the weather, which was not too kind, the Festival was a huge success with many visitors enjoying the atmosphere and festivities. As usual the organisation was top notch and thanks must go to all those involved; especially Tony and Pat, and Stewart and Jennie. The Beck was filled with boats of all shapes and sizes and added to the event in a most dramatic way. The Festival helps the Beverley Barge Preservation Society to maintain the barge Syntan, and develop the British Waterways boat Sun which is currently being renovated and will soon be available for charters.
