Ben Fish hit a fine unbeaten century as Beverley Town 3rd XI earned a losing draw against North Ferriby in the Premier Division of the EYCA on Bank Holiday Monday.
On a bowler-friendly pitch, North Ferriby made Beverley toil as they racked up an impressive 273-7 off their 48 overs. Nathan Judah his an unbeaten 97 for the visitors, while there were 50s for Simon Cooke and Scott Watkin.
Pick of the Beverley bowlers were Brad Dobson and Nicholas Robinson, who picked up two wickets apiece.
Beverley knew they had little chance of chasing down their target and set about enjoying some good batting practice.
Fish came in at the fall of the first wicket, and with help from Richard Thompson (43) took his side to 201-4 off their 48 overs, finishing on exactly 100 no.
