The Proclaimers Rock Beverley

Scottish legends The Proclaimers rocked a packed Beverley Leisure Centre – and made one Beverley girl’s night extra special.

The headline act of the Beverley Folk Festival, brothers Craig and Charlie Reid turned back the years and showed the current generation of music lovers just why they are still so revered by 80s music fans.

They belted out the hits that earned them their cult following, including, of course, the incomparable I’m Gonna Be (500 miles).

Craig and Charlie, though, saved their other huge hit for Charlie Frank, who was out with her sister Rachel, Mother  and friends celebrating her 18th birthday.

The lads dedicated Letter From America to Charlie Frank and her birthday, to the obvious delight of Charlie and her friends.

“This one is for you” The Proclaimers dedicate a Letter From America to Charlie Frank & the Beverley girls!
