Around 300 people were treated to a wonderful concert on the afternoon of Sunday 11th July in the grounds of Wassand Hall near Hornsea, by the East Riding Senior and Intermediate Wind Bands, the East Riding Youth Jazz Orchestra and the East Riding Percussion Ensemble.
All performed to their usual high standard, with the Jazz Orchestra and the Percussion in particular putting on an excellent display.
The Intermediate Wind Band even performed a medley of football songs, featuring vuvuzelas, to remind us what was in store for the evening! The Senior Wind Band rounded off what was a lovely event with their customary style and panache.
The music, sunshine and refreshments combined to produce a perfect summer’s afternoon, and well done and thank you to all concerned.
