Alex ScottBeverley Town Mohicans midfielder Alex Scott’s move to Hull City will be a massive loss for the club – but a huge gain for the Tigers.

The local youngster has been handed a two-year contract with City after impressing at one of the club’s summer camps.

The creative midfielder – an Everton fan who has been inspired by the punchy skills of Toffees’ ace Tim Cahill – has made the number 11 jersey his own with the Mohicans.

But now he will swap light blue for black and amber as he pursues his dream of being a professional footballer.

It’s a major move for Alex, but he has the blessing of manager Dave Collingwood, who has played a major role in the development of a potential star in the making.

He told HU17.net: “I am chuffed and gutted at the same time.

“Alex is a great kid and our loss is Hull City’s gain.”

Alex has played for the Beverley Mohicans for the past four years. He is understandably apprehensive about his move, but is looking forward to furthering his career.

He said: “It’s great to be moving to Hull City, although I am very sad to be leaving Beverley.”
