Beverley Racecourse was packed full of people who were enjoying an evening meeting as part of the Yorkshire Racing Festival.
BBC Radio Humberside’s David Burns was broadcasting live from the Westwood.
On the track, Beverley Racecourse’s very own Paul Pickard was racing. He failed to pick up what would have been his second win at Beverley, although came close in the feature race.
Riding Polish World in the Sky Bet Supporting The Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Handicap Stakes, Pickard looked to be heading home to claim a win in front of his home crowd, although he just lost out in the final furlong.
