Beverley Racecourse held a Family Fun Day and there were plenty of people in attendance to enjoy the proceedings.
Working in conjunction with Beverley Racecourse, Hull Kingston Rovers Education and Sports Trust were on hand to help things go with a swing between 12 midday and 2pm.
With the help of local team the Beverley Braves, Hull KR held Drill -and -Skill workshops. The Hull KR Education and Sport Trust, which works closely with around 60 schools in the area, aims to promote health and sport in the community, and their presence in Beverley was certainly popular.
Heather Kennedy, a Trust Manage at Hull KR, said “Today has been really positive. We have seen some very talented kids too within the Beverley Braves ranks.”
It was a good afternoon on the reace-track too with local man Nicholas Watts and his wife Rachael providing sponsorship for the 3.40 Wilford Watts Memorial Handicap Stakes.
Nick, a keen racing fan, sponsors the race in memory of his late father, and was joined by his sister to present the prize to the winning owner Harry Conlon.
