10 People from Beverley Head to Uganda on a Mission

Lee Kirkby is preparing to leave Beverley with a group of ten young people on mission to Uganda.

The group is heading out to Kabale where they will spend two weeks developing and strengthening relationships with mission partners are the Cathedral.

In order to make this trip possible each member of the team has had to raise £1,300.

This Sunday the team will be commissioned at the Beverley Minster during a special ceremony during the All Age service this Sunday.

Just two day later they will be leaving Beverley and heading off to Uganda.

Lee Kirby said; “This a chance in a lifetime, while on the mission we will spend time learning about culturul differences.”

“However most of our time will spent doing work in the community, putting on events including sport, music and drama.”

The team will be leaving Bevelrey at 1.30am on the 3rd of August and are due to arrive in Africa at 7.30pm.

They will be keeping blog of their trip when possible and a presentation wbout their mission in September.
