Attempted Street Robbery – Beverley

Police are appealing for information following an incident at 2200hrs on Friday 20 August at Rosemary Walk, off Woodhall Way, Beverley.

A 68-year-old man was walking along a cut through. As he heard footsteps from behind him he turned around and saw three men.

He was assaulted and money was demanded from him.

As the 68-year-old man shouted for help the three men ran off towards the grassed area at the top of Copandale Road.

The 68-year-old man received swelling, reddening and pain to left side of his face and pain to his ribs.

Nothing was stolen.

All three of the suspects had hoods over their faces. They are described as white men, of a medium build, aged in their late teens to early 20’s.

  1. I am Peter’s son. Can you please put up a map and photographs with this page of where the incident started (Halifax Toll Gavel) and ended (Molescroft) instead of pictures of the police station – which seem pointless.

    Good luck in finding these brave young men – who will attack a pensioner for £3.
