Mill Lane United beat Swanfield 2 – 0 at Broadgates in a pre-season friendly.
On target for United was Luke Thompson and Jordon Dexter who scored a goal each.
Skipper Terry Jackson was withdrawn from the game after just ten minutes due to illness. Jackson who plays up front United is expected to make a full recovery and be fit for the start of the season in September.
