The Humber Colts were beaten at home by Hodgsons FC Reserves 3 – 1 in a pre-season friendly that was watched by over a 100 people.
The Colts took the lead which they held till half time, though Hodgsons scored three in the second half to claim the win. It was the first match in charge for management duo Dave Chillcott and Chris Whiting and their first victory in their first game.
Chairman of Hodgsons FC Lee Hastings said;
“Well done to Hodgsons Reserves. This was the first game and a first win, a 100% record; it is made all that more special as it was against the Humber Colts.”
Colts manager Tony Henderson played down the result saying;
“It was only a friendly match, we were in control and took the lead, we had to make a string of changes at half time and ultimately that affected our performance.”
