Programmes Filmed At Minster To Be Shown This Sunday

Beverley Minster Filming

BBC1 is devoting its two most popular Sunday evening programmes to local landmark Beverley Minster this coming weekend (Sunday 19th September).

Earlier this year, for the first time ever, the BBC filmed both Songs of Praise and Antiques Roadshow in one venue and Sundays editions will reflect this unique partnership with presenters Aled Jones and Fiona Bruce appearing in each others programmes.

Beverley Minster was home to two overlapping production crews for nearly two weeks during May and the BBC plans to eventually broadcast a total of four programmes from the material filmed in and around Beverley.

Vicar of Beverley Minster Jeremy Fletcher said:

“We were delighted to act as hosts to the BBC this summer and it was a treat to be involved in such a unique collaboration – and the fact that Antiques Roadshow chose Beverley Minster to start their new series is a real privilege.

“We all had a wonderful time and I am sure that this will be excellent publicity both for Beverley and its Minster.”
