The British Trombone Society is holding a workshop day on Saturday, 2nd October at the East Riding Schools’ Music Service’s new home – The Hexagon Centre (Coltman Ave, Beverley, HU17 9LP).
The day will be led and delivered by Brett Baker, who is an internationally renowned trombone soloist, brass clinician and principal trombonist of the world famous Black Dyke Band.
There will be opportunities to take part in a trombone choir and masterclasses given by the Black Dyke Trombone Quartet and also John Barber (principal trombone of the Fodens band). There will also be a recital featuring The Black Dyke Trombone Quartet and Steven Lomas (winner of the BTS solo competition 2010).
The day will run from 9.30am (registration) until approx 2.45pm. The cost of the day is free to BTS members. If you are a non-member, there will be a charge of £10.
