Saturday sees Beverley RUFC entertaining Sandal in what is sure to be yet another tough encounter.
Having, for the third week in succession, allowed their opponents to build up an apparently unassailable lead with only 15 or 20 minutes to go last weekend at Darlington Mowden Park, the Beavers suddenly started to play as we know they can and, given another 5 minutes would probably have won all three games.
It is extremely frustrating to see, what is becoming a depressingly familiar pattern, of the Beavers starting well for 15 minutes or so before gifting their opponents 15 or 20 points, before suddenly seeming to realise that they could win the game and turning it on in the last quarter.
What is encouraging is that at no time have Beverley been outplayed by their opponents and they will certainly cure their malaise. The side look strong when they shake themselves up and fitness is certainly not a problem.
They need to get another win or two under their belts and this Saturday would be a good time to start.
