The Beverley Food Festival was held today and despite the poor weather organisers were pleased with the number of people who braved the rain to venture into the centre of Beverley.
As the rain fell, the Beverley Brass Band lifted the spirits of people with their music, while inside the shelter of the Cookery Theatre Marquee, top local chef David Nowell hosted a series of food themed demonstrations.
The event was officially opened by BBC Radio Humberside presenter Phil White and the Mayor of Beverley Bessie Foot.
