Keldmarsh & Molescroft Primary Schools in Beverley are continuing their collaborative work as part of a project called sharing resources for innovation and cohesion (ShRINC).
The team of European partners are working together on projects including ‘My Life in a Box’, ‘My Town in a Box’ and a Virtual World ‘Lemerley’, to explore each other’s cultures and the historic links between Germany and England since the Middle Ages. As well as learning about their partners’ communities, the programme also helps young people learn more about their own culture and build links within their local community.
This week, the Year 6 children at Keldmarsh Primary School have been involved with filming their ‘Life in a Box’ work with the support of David Mell, a Teaching and Learning Consultant for Creative Arts.
The children collected a range of objects and photographs which identifies significant aspects of their life and represents their family, friends and the things which are important to them. The films will be shared with the children in the link school in Lemgo, Sudschule.
