The Humber Colts opened a 3 point lead at the top of the table with a 5 – 2 home win against Northern Wanderers.
The game was a one way affair with the Colts dominating from start to finish. In the absence of an official referee, Colts chairman Rob Hunter took control of the match.
To the frustration of the Wanderers side Hunter turned down not one but two clear cut penalties. After the game when quizzed about the penalty appeals Hunter simply said “I did not see them”.
