Anyone who is thinking about going into further and higher education in September 2011 can now take a look at East Riding College’s new full-time and higher education course guides.

The full-time course guide features nearly 100 courses in art, design and media; business and administration; construction; early years and health and social care; foundation programmes; hair and beauty; hospitality and catering; information technology; motor vehicle and engineering; music; public services; sport and recreation; and travel and tourism. These include a range of A-levels, apprenticeships and vocational courses, such as BTEC diplomas and NVQs.

The course guide features information on life at the College, facilities, open events and how to apply for courses. There is also details of how to get help with choosing the right course and how prospective students can talk to the College’s award-winning guidance officers.

The higher education course guide gives details of the 10 higher education courses the College offers in digital media; early childhood policy and practice; education; health and social care; information technology; sports, exercise and health sciences; and teacher training. There is also a section on Access to Higher Education courses, which enable people who have been out of education for a while to get the experience and points they need to get into college or university.

College Principal Derek Branton said:
