The Humber Colts left it late at Longcroft to overcome bottom of the table Inter Beaver.
In a heated game, things could have been so different. Inter broke and scored only to see the goal disallowed for off-side. Had the goal stood, it would have put Inter in the lead for the first time in the game.
With the scores still level at 2 – 2 and with less then five minutes to play, the Colts were awarded a corner which an unmarked Colts Craig Ellis headed home from less then a yard out.
Other scorers from the Colts were Mike ‘Swampy’ Claxton and Mark Frampton. The win keeps the Humber Colts top maintaining their 100% winning start to the season, making it six wins from six.
