A young Beverley family devoted almost a day to walk round the Beverley Medieval Guilds & Crafts Town Trail following its launch in July to come up with winning answers to the Trail’s Family Quiz, devised by a young Beverley volunteer.
Donna and Chris Lee, together with Isobel, 7yrs, and Harvey 4yrs, found the answers to such questions as ‘How many thimbles are there …’ and ‘Why are the arrows a ‘waste’ …to win a family photograph portrait of themselves taken beneath the Creelers’ sculpture at Beckside – their favourite from all the thirty nine sculptures installed on the Trail.
The Family Quiz was created by Liz Jack, a volunteer with Beverley’s CSV/Vinspired team for young people whose volunteers also organised a hugely popular crafts section for children at the Trail’s Launch Day in July.
Donna Lee said, “The Town Trail is a really interesting and enjoyable new thing to do in Beverley. We all learned so much about Beverley’s past and our children had a lot of fun working out the answers to the quiz.”
