POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an alleged robbery in Tesco’s car park in Beverley.
At 1421hrs on Thursday 28 October 2010 it is alleged as a 37-year-old man was leaving his parked white Vauxhall Caddy hire van (about 100 yards away from the recycling bottle bins) in the Tesco’s supermarket car park on Morton Lane in Beverley, his vehicle was approached.
The suspect, described as being a white man, wearing a dark coloured waist length jacket allegedly approached the driver, who was now out of the vehicle and grabbed an amount of money and cheques from the victim’s hand.
The suspect then made off across the car park in full view of the victim and over a brick wall into Nettos car park.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the car park between 1420hrs and 1500hrs on Thursday 28 October who witnessed this alleged robbery.
