Local Man Receives National Recognition

The Mayor of Beverley  Councillor Bessie Foot came to the Beverley Life Saving Club weekly club meet to present a trophy to Robin Scott a senior teacher at the Club.

The Stanley Peck Trophy is  awarded  by the R.L.S.S. UK to a member who has done most to achieve the aims of the Royal Life Saving Society in their local area.

Robin should have received this from Lord Norrie at the National Honours Ceremony held at the Guildhall London on October 30th but was  unable to attend.

Mary Foster another senior teacher who was at the ceremony to receive an Honorary Life Membership for her work in Beverley accepted the Trophy on his behalf of Robin from Lord Norrie.

The Mayor of Beverley kindly agreed to represent the Trophy at Beverley Leisure Centre to Robin.
