My Favourite Toy Drawing Competition Winners

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s hardly surprising that many children’s attention is now starting to focus on toys.  Keystage 1 pupils at Keldmarsh Primary School in Beverley have been channelling their enthusiasm in an artistic direction by entering a competition to draw their favourite toy.

The challenge was set by local on-line toy store, wrapped up 4u, which specialises in traditional toys and Christmas decorations from Germany. Entries were varied and very colourful, with soft toys and footballs proving most popular.

It was the detail in the picture of ‘Bunny’ that caught the judges’ eye and won her a cheery Santa wooden advent calendar, packed full of surprises for the count-down to Christmas. The runner up received a prize of a Christmas goody bag for her interpretation of Poppy, her favourite cuddly toy.  Director Beate Willar said, “We were really impressed with the standard of artwork and would like to thank all the children who took part”.

wrapped up 4u will be taking a selection of their products to various Christmas Fairs throughout the East Riding over the next few weeks. Their full range of over 650 toys, make-a-bear kits, craft kits and filled party bags can be seen at Wrapped Up 4U web Site. Delivery is also free in Beverley.
