Pupils from Cherry Burton CE Primary School have been taking part in the Real Aid 2010 Christmas Gift Box Appeal.
The children brought wrapped shoe boxes into school which they had filled with small gifts to be given as Christmas presents to children in the poorest communities of Africa.
Real Aid is an international non-governmental, non-political, non-religious independent organisation which is constituted as a charity under a memorandum and articles of association, the charity number being 1089316.
It has an established network with headquarters in Tickton, East Yorkshire and international offices in Sierra Leone, Albania and Bulgaria.
Unlike many other organisations Real Aid does not rely on outside funding, all present costs can be met from income from our charity shops. Any additional funding will enable us to expand projects.
This is very important to our organisation it means that when we receive a private donation we can guarantee that the donation goes directly to help others, in some cases the money is simply wired directly to our teams overseas.
