Longcroft School CLOSED – Friday 3rd December
Longcroft School will remain CLOSED on Friday 3rd December 2010, due to adverse weather and safety concerns.
Due to Longcroft’s location and split site, problems remain including heavy accumulations of snow on roads leading to and within the site. Snowplough clearance has been requested and we hope to re-open on Monday 6th December.
Please check the school website during Sunday evening and at 7am on Monday morning for confirmation.
Weather Update – Monday 6th December
Longcroft School will be open to students in Years 11, 12 and 13 only.
A lot of good work has taken place to clear the roads and pathways within the site, but more remains to be done due to thick ice and the continued freezing conditions. Work will continue on Monday, with the hope of phasing further year groups back as the week progresses.
When travelling to school, students are asked to take care due to the icy conditions underfoot. We also advise they set of earlier than usual to ensure a safe and steady journey.
