Beverley RUFC are hoping that the weather improves sufficiently this week for their scheduled National League 3(North) game with Middlesbrough to take place, although listening to the weather forecast for the area leads one to believe already that it is likely to be a forlorn hope.
Having had last weeks match at Billingham called off, the Beavers will be anxious to avoid a backlog of fixtures, as happened last year, since their small squad becomes very stretched at such times.
The Beavers squad should be strengthened this week with the return of Fraley Hopa after his season up in Scotland and a short lived second spell at Hull RUFC. This will be Frayley’s fourth spell with Beverley which he regards as his spiritual home and both he and the club are hoping that this time he will be here for good.
Also returning this week, having sorted his visa delay out should be Sam Atiola and the Beavers will be hoping that they can continue their excellent form of a fortnight ago when they turned in a magnificent performance to comprehensively defeat Penrith by 30 points to 0.
