David Wilson Yorkshire East is hoping to combat the district’s lack of available housing with a new planning application that will include 150 high quality homes in Beverley.
The five star housebuilder and Shirethorn Ltd are proposing to deliver a new Relief Road to the north east of Molescroft.
The relief road will link the existing roundabout at The Grangeway to a newly built roundabout on Constitution Hill. The road will cost £4million for the route and an appropriate number of new homes to facilitate the delivery of the relief road.
As part of the project David Wilson Yorkshire East, is hosting an open day to offer locals the opportunity to share their thoughts on these exciting proposals.
The event will be held at Beverley Arms Hotel on Tuesday 21st December and residents are invited to view the plans, get involved and share their thoughts on the proposals. The open day will last from 1pm to 7pm to offer as many people as possible the chance to contribute ideas to the scheme.
Paul Butler, Planning Manager for David Wilson Yorkshire East said; “The new proposed by-pass will be facilitated by the delivery of the new homes at the site and is thus funded in its entirety by private development investment. Residents of Molescroft and the wider Town will therefore receive the full benefits of the scheme without having to pay any financial consequences.”
“The development will also provide a number of social and economic benefits associated with the delivery of new homes in the area. We are hoping to continue to work closely with local residents, stakeholders, Molescroft Parish Council and Beverley Town Council to ensure that everyone can get behind these exciting proposals”.
“The proposals are at a very early stage and we will be undertaking a full consultation programme with local residents over the coming months”.
