Beverley Library is ‘Turning Back Time’ with the BBC following the popular recent television series about how shops and shopping have changed since the Victorian era.
Local authors, Margaret Sumner and Patricia Deans, will deliver an illustrated talk on the changing face of Beverley High Street, in Beverley library on Thursday, 26 January at 2.30pm. Due to limited seating, booking is required. Admission is free.
In addition to the talk, an exhibition showcasing books, period costumes, photographs and documents relevant to Beverley’s shopping and trade history is open to the public in the Reference library.
