Young Riders Race Their Way to the Top

Young  Beverley racer Jordan Rushby is looking forward to an exciting year after confirming his ride for the coming Superteen season.

Jordan has confirmed he will be riding an Aprilia RS 125cc bike for the 2011 season, during which he’ll race at some of the country’s most famous tracks.

Jordon already has sponsors, Strattons Motorcycles, Moto GB and Roclad Systems, though requires more backing to raise the £15K needed for the season.

Jordan will rub shoulders with some of the country’s hottest young biking talent at tracks such as Cadwell Park, Brands Hatch, Donington and the home of British Formula One, Silverstone.

The Beverley racer has plenty of incentive to succeed this season, none more so than to begin to emulate East Yorkshire’s bright young star James Westmoreland.

Westmoreland, just 22, has risen through the junior ranks and has secured a ride this season for Motorpoint Yamaha. It means a switch from 600 to 1000cc machines and off-season training in Spain.

Jordan’s new bike can be viewed at Peter Stockills, Priory Park, for a week beginning January 24.
