Colts & Inter Could Face FA Charges Over Sunday’s Antics

The Humber Colts and Inter Beaver could face charges from the FA after Sunday’s match ended with a coming together of both squads.

Match official John Curry’s report will determine the fate of both teams, though given the involvement of so many players it is likely that the clubs will be charged with bringing the game into disrepute, and that players will face individual charges for their parts.

In a heated match won by the Inter Beaver three players saw red, Adam Pardoe, Jon-Scott Tyler and Tom Moore.  Trouble started after a rash challenge on Colts’ Moore by Inter’s Tyler sparked a reaction and created a coming together of the teams.

Colts’ Chairman Rob Hunter said;

“We are going to appeal against the red card issued to Tom Moore. He now faces a 35 day ban and a £35 fine which he will have to pay if he is to play again.”

“We want to put this whole episode behind us. It is unlikely we will have to play Inter again as we are top and they are near the bottom of the league.”

“It is shame that it happened but we cannot change the past. We have not had any incidents like this before and we do not want it again.”

“Last season we picked up just two yellow cards, there is not a disciplinary issue at this club.”

“The players and staff linked to the Humber Colts are all focused on winning successive league championships and we must not let this distract us from our target.”

Hunter also said that although he was disappointed about the result, he felt that his players gave a good account of themselves given the pressure and tension of the occasion.

  1. Great video! Wouldn’t appeal against the red card to Mr Moore. The video shows him running towards the player about to take his head off. lol. He reacted to the tackle so he doesn’t stand a chance. Fine and a ban for him. Schoooooooner!!

  2. Rob – you look like a guilty schoolboy! great pic and hope no action is taken. No one got hurt from what I gather and it was a derby. Passion is good
