Mill Lane United were held at home by Westella and Willerby.
In a good game that saw both teams guilty of missing chances, Westella took the lead after a United goal keeping error, though United were soon level thanks to Shaun Foster.
United had the chance to go into the break ahead after they were awarded a penalty, but Foster was unable to convert the kick.
The second half started the same as the first with United on top and they soon took the lead when a very good cross from Phil Skitt enabled Lewis Heath to peel off the defender and head home.
The game was end to end and Westella missed good chances to pull back. John Riley and Foster switched wings which worked to United’s advantage because soon after Riley received the ball on the edge of the area and cut in side to slot the ball home with a sweet left foot finish.
This spurred Westella to raise their game and they soon pulled a goal back after some scrappy defending and sloppy errors from United’s midfield.
United struggled late on in the game to get a hold of the ball and keep their composure, and the pressure from Westella soon took its toll with Westella scoring with the last kick of the game.
