Beverley RUFC turned in yet another sterling performance last Saturday, when, having given second placed Bradford & Bingley a 12 point start at half time, they suddenly woke up and completely turned the game around in the second half and, only a last gasp penalty under the posts, cost them an heroic victory.
It is most frustrating that they seem to always give these top teams a good start before realising that they are just as good, if not better than them, and if they cut out the stupid mistakes and believe in themselves, they will get the results.
Two bonus points were very welcome, but a win would have been better and the Beavers really must understand that life is tough at the wrong end of the table, and, whilst relegation is not too much of a worry at the moment, they must start to be more consistent.
Recent performances against the likes of Chester and Bradford show that they ought to have been challenging for promotion rather than looking anxiously at other results around the bottom of the table.
They could start to do themselves a massive favour this Saturday by winning at Billingham, who are second bottom of the table.
