World Champion in-line skater, Jenna Downing, is attending a coffee morning at Toll Gavel Church, Beverley, on Saturday, 26 February.
Jenna, who is currently working with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust, is taking part in a range of activities to promote the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, which includes supporting the London 2012 Young Leaders Volunteering Programme, sponsored by BP.
The coffee morning is being organised by Emily Robinson, a young leader based in the East Riding, and takes place between 10 – 11.30am.
Emily is delighted to have Jenna on board and is hoping for a good turn out, urging both young and older people to attend the event.
She said:
“This coffee morning is being organised to unite the community and is open to everyone in Beverley.
“Having Jenna attend the event is fantastic and will help everyone to get into the spirit of the 2012 games.”
