The Northern Chamber Orchestra will be joined by special guests Naomi Atherton (horn) and Ben Hudson (bassoon), together with artictic director and leader Nicholas Ward, for a concert at Toll Gavel United Church, Beverley, on Thursday, 24 March (7.30 pm).
The orchestra was formed in the 1960s and has gained a formidable reputation from its engaging and exciting concerts. The orchestra gives a series of eight concerts at the Heritage Centre, Macclesfield and appears regularly in Blackburn, Skipton/Settle, Tatton Park, Knutsford, Blackburn Cathedral, Parr Hall, Warrington and Gorton Monastery.
With over thirty CDs to its name, the NCO is now known in every continent. The orchestra’s long association with Buxton Festival continues in July 2010 accompanying the three main opera productions. The NCO has an extensive education programme and is now ‘Orchestra in Residence’ of Manchester Metropolitan University.

Mozart Bassoon concerto in B flat
Walton Two pieces from Henry V
Mozart Horn concerto no 4 in E flat
