Daughter Takes Inspiration From Her Father’s Words

“It’s too late for me, but if we can help for the future it’s worth it”.

Local businesswoman Kerris Lacy has been inspired by the words of her late father Eddie Delacy, who in December 2010 lost his life to Motor Neurone Disease in December last year.

She has now raised more than £4,000 towards her aim of £10,000 which will go to help fight the disease, and her latest fund-raising effort will take place from Monday, 21 March at her De Lacy Spa salon in Saturday Market.

All money raised during the week-long appeal will go towards the Eddie Delacy Fund.

Kerris told HU17.net:

“It is ten weeks since my father past away from MND. Dad was a fit and healthy man, although the illness left him paralysed from the neck and unable to speak.

“It really is an unimaginable thing to happen to any family and I hope a cure can be found in my lifetime so no one else needs to go through what we did.”
